Update #15: Broken Lasers, Broken Printers, Broken Slabs
Update #14: THINK OF THE CHILDREN Ready For Shipping!
Update #13: Success!
Update #12: Heroes Convention! June 3 – June 5!

It’s been a good thirty-nine days for the THINK OF THE CHILDREN Kickstarter campaign. We’ve had production parties, fired lasers and played with saws. Our rewards got bigger and better as the enthusiasm for the project took over. We started this campaign out in Athens, GA at the 2011 Fluke Mini-Comic Convention. Our mid-way point was Free Comic Book Day at Criminal Records in Atlanta. Now, we’re approaching the final weekend of the campaign with our favorite convention of the year: Heroes Con!
From June 3 – June 5, both EC and I will be in Charlotte, North Carolina at Artist Alley Table 228. We’re calling our area “The Valley of Restless Beards” as we’re sitting right next to our friends Dave Wachter and Robert Wilson IV, both amazing comics artists. At the show, we will reveal the print versions of THINK OF THE CHILDREN for the first time, with a limited edition set created specifically for the show. We hope it will drum up enough attention to help promote the end of our Kickstarter campaign.
Also at our table, EC will have statues of some of his custom creatures, including Amon Gallus and Long Pork the Second. He’ll also have several ACEO cards and other sculpted artifacts on hand. Watch the master at work as he breathes life into clay, bringing golemic chaos to the show floor!
I’ll be selling all three issues of BORDER CROSSINGS, my “muppets on a submarine” comic. The third issue is finally available in print and includes a short comic I did with Errol Rich Jr. called “Myth.” I’m also giving away free copies of my first mini-comic DUE NORTH. Finally, I’ve decided to spend the weekend working on my sketching and will be selling $1 sketches done in pencil and ink. These sketches are on 4” x 4” sheets of paper made from recycled elephant feces. That’s right. I shit thee not.
If you’re in the North Carolina area, stop by and see us! We’re very excited to be crafting all weekend, meeting new people and spending time with old friends.
Update #11: A Call To Arms!

It's 1pm EST, Friday 5/27. Time for a call to arms to muster our allies and set the agenda for THINK OF THE CHILDREN's Kickstarter campaign.
We're at 42% of our goal with a little over a week left. We need your help to be at 100% going into HeroesCon next weekend.Help us create more awareness of the project. Inform people who might not know about it or strengthen their commitment.
Research shows that 4:00pm on Friday's is the BEST time to get an RT or share via social media. So today is the day!
A "like" or "share" from you is great, but it's even better if the pitch comes from you. Here are some reasons to suggest people donate to TOTC:
1) Support independent comics creators! Especially those who produce free content online.
2) This project is unique: it's a handcrafted, sculpted, one-of-a-kind artifact made w/ lasers & saws. It's tactile and we did it all.
3) Celebrate the history of comics and the end of the comics code with this satirical horror comic. It's a great gift for comics fans!
4) We've received positive reviews from Rue Morgue magazine, Cory Doctorow on Boing Boing and Comics Alliance. All trustworthy publications!
5) Our rewards are even better than 1st announced. 10x8 prints! 4" sculpts! Downloadable book plates! Laser signets! No one's doing this.
6) Finally, we worked HARD. We put the foot work in at Fluke, Free Comic Book Day and Heroes. We've also been making books for weeks!
