A film event, the makings of a live album, a rediscovered theater... This is where you'll find the story of Falling Theater.
Falling Theater is a project intended to document the romance and nostalgia of a bygone era of theater performance. It will be both a film and an album of nine songs. Through the use of film and music, Falling Theater will explore the complete theater experience including life backstage, the orchestra, wings, lobby, dressing rooms, the stage, the seats and hall. This project will showcase the live audience within the theater space, the actual architecture of a pre-war era theater, and finally the staged live performance of the album's nine songs.
The Location:
Filming and Recording:
Filming will occur over a two week period. It will follow a series of staged events and performances shaped from the album's nine songs. The album will be partially recorded during filming in order to capture the songs live.
The Presentation:
The final piece will be presented as a part of a streaming event on several music related sites, screened at exhibitions, and released as a DVD. The album will be made available as a full length LP and as a digital download.
