It's food that helps and heals the body and doesn't slowly, kill you. 

For centuries, smart scientists, educators, nutritionists and some parents have long understood the importance of nutrition in developing the body and the brain. As newer information lights the way, many, many people are drastically changing their poor eating habits for better ones.  Different foods effect your mood, energy level, stress, and even brain structure.

The Philosophy is Simple
In addition to serving wholesome, nutritionally rich dishes for you, we also serve up special dietary planning and consultation services.  We do this to fit your lifestyle, health restrictions, and taste buds.  Eating healthy never means 'it won't taste good'. It means that it is just not loaded up with junk sweeteners, artificial flavors and chemical garbage.

As one of the head cooks at Tassajara Zen Mountain monastery in CA, I worked extensively with organic produce. After mastering my skills as a vegetarian chef in my almost two year residency at Tassajara and Green Gulch Monasteries, I returned to NYC to work with well known chefs (David Burke, Jason Tillman, to name a few), and refined cooking with poultry, meat and fish. 

The waste that goes in NYC professional kitchens is unbelievable. I found, working in kitchens in New York, that there are much more sustainable and influential ways to obtain products and deal with excess leftovers.

I've been working with Union Sq farmers, but IT'S NOT ENOUGH. I've traveled upstate NY to find even smaller, much much smaller farms that are struggling right now and buying produce from them. I've been working from my own kitchen and taking a huge loss on the profit just so that I can help those that truly deserve to be paid for their work, farmers that is. There are so many beautifully kind people who've been farming generation from generation, and can not support their families.

I am pledging for monetary gifts from you, my dear one, because I believe I can help small struggling families to become suppliers for catering companies such as me. I want to promote and to celebrate local farmers communities and families. Not just those who have already established themselves, like the ones in Union Sq., but even smaller farms. Those who are really small and in need of a boost.
