Our passion at Avant Chamber Ballet is to give musicians and dancers the chance to perform and collaborate with each other in a time when few dance companies can afford to work with live music.

After its extremely successful debut this June, ACB is presenting three performances this fall in two different theaters to reach a larger area and audience.

Oct 13th at 8pm and Oct 14th at 6pm we will perform at LifeStage Theatre in Grapevine, Texas. On Oct 25 at 730 we will perform at The Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas. All shows will present 3 world premiere ballets choreographed by Katie Puder with live music from local and guest musicians.

First on the program will be "Francaix Marelle". A fun, light ballet featuring horn and piano by Jean Francaix, with soloist David Cooper of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

Next is "Colloquy": a neoclassical ballet view of  Gyorgy Ligeti's Six Bagatelles. Featuring a wind quintet and two dancers, it is a challenge and conversation between both the dancers and musicians.

Finishing the night is "Italian Suite" set to Igor Stravinsky's Suite Italienne. It features our full company of dancers, commissioned costumes by Eric Sands of Fort Worth, and violin soloist Angela Fuller from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. 

Though ACB is thriving, it needs your help to continue to afford costumes, studio rehearsal space and theater deposits for our shows. We do a LOT with a small budget and volunteers who are passionate about this project!  Please consider funding your local arts today.
