Success and Moving Forward
If it were at all practical, I would choose knocking on people’s doors over sending messages of thanks for Dirty Simple’s recently successful Kickstarter campaign. I so want to be able to personally connect with each of the 122 pledgers and the multitude of people who supported my project in many ways big and small.
This campaign turned out to be so much more than just raising money to make short films and I wish that I could think of a way to feel satisfied in honoring those who contributed to the process. I owe you so much more than a thank you email.
The best that I can do is to pour my heart into this project and hope that the product is as beautiful as its supporters have been to me. My editor Jon and I dove into working long hours on the next phases for the project the same day that the Kickstarter ended. I hope to have the Echo vignette ready for your viewing by the end of September.
Each person who pledged to Dirty Simple will soon receive a survey email asking them for their contact information and gift preferences. In addition, a link to the Dirty Simple website with trailers, a blog, links and credits will be sent out as soon as its construction is complete.
Thank you all!
