What is this madness?

Hey, we're an indie-rock band called The Ready Aim Fire! (click here to hear what we sound like if you're new to TRAF!, or here to watch our videos). We're finishing up our fourth official release, Atheist Grief, which we're incredibly proud of, and we need your help to make it (and its release) as awesome as possible.

Atheist Grief is now (as of 12/20/11) in the final stages of recording. Thus far, we have recorded it in our usual DIY fashion, but we are enjoying it so much that we have decided we want to get it professionally mastered. You can get an idea of what mastering is from Wikipedia, but basically it is a process that makes a mixed record sound even better in all sorts of listening environments. The last record we got professionally mastered was Strong Enough, which was done by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound, and we want to work with him again. However, mastering is kinda expensive, so we need your help.

However, we don't want this to just be about getting the record mastered, because even though that's really important, it's not the sexiest thing in the world. So consider this our CD release one-stop shop. You can get an advance digital copy of Atheist Grief for just 10 bucks, or you can get a signed physical copy for a little more dough. Alyssa Mees designed the cover for Atheist Grief and she'll be designing the other cool stuff like posters and t-shirts so you know they'll be awesome.
