Quick Update! MAP INFO!!!!
So here at the Portrait of America headquarters in sunny/windy/rainy San Francisco we've been working hard to have this project come to fruition. We acquired a 1982 Diesel Westfalia shortly after we reached our funding goal, and safely towed it home form northern California. We have also already ordered a new 1.9 TD engine and are excited to get the old gal tuned up, painted, customized and ready for the trip.

I have also spent countless hours compiling data and entering Pins on the MAP. Drum roll please............ if you click the link below you will see the map. I'm not calling this the final map yet because the route has not yet been set in stone. That being said the trip will start in San Francisco and probably head north and then east. We have a tentative launch date of mid MayishJune. The van will be in Maine on July 2nd for a wedding and hopefully in our nations capital for the 4th of July.

Your name in the book, 2 pins to drop on the map and a t-shirt. The shirts' so badass you don't need another reason to contribute. Our buddy Dennis McNulty will be in charge of the t-shirt design. Check out the video for some initial mockups and his website (over there on the left) to see his past work.

You get the Photo Booth Van posted up at a location of your choosing for a 4 hour event. This is a bargain, cheaper than our normal event rentals. Plus you'll be an anchor on our trip. We might even let you feed us dinner. You also get all of the above rewards plus a full page dedicated to you in the book. NOTE: the date of the event will be determined after funding, specific dates may be hard to accommodate but we'll try our best. We don't exactly know where we're going yet. Its up to you!
