The Pop Nation is building our own kitchen space! We need your support to buy the necessary equipment to make our pops!

SEED:
We started the Pop Nation with the hopes of bringing a delicious, flavorful, and highly unique dessert alternative to sweet tooths all around the Bay. Inevitably, it was our innate passion for food and our desire to work alongside our friends and family that drew the four of us—Sarah, Tim, Anne & Mark—together in a highly collaborative effort to build Pop Nation from the ground up. As a small, family-run business, we are producers and purveyors of handmade gourmet pops in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our pops are made with fresh fruit and no artificial ingredients, a healthier treat for children and adults.
The creation of our product begins with partnerships with other Bay Area businesses, farmers, and producers. Much of the produce that goes into our pops is from Bay area farmers producing some of the highest quality fruit using sustainable practices. We've sought out these other businesses and farmers because we feel they are active participants in something greater--they are true stewards of the land, focused on a sustainable and healthier present and future. For us, it's simply not enough to know that our product taste great. It's equally as important for us to share the fact that this great taste comes first and foremost from great produce, great minds, and great people working with of us. So, firstly, we'd like to shout out to a few of our wonderful partners and support networks:
ALBA Organics, Capay Organic, Eatwell Farm, Cloverleaf Farm, Bridgeway Farms

ROOTS:
Almost two years ago, we began in our homes, testing and retesting recipes as we laid the groundwork for our future business. We moved into a shared commercial space in San Francisco’s Mission District, a facility that enabled us to produce our line of gourmet, vegan and gluten free pops on a larger scale and in accordance with state laws. It’s been quite a journey so far—indeed we’ve come a long way since initially testing our recipes in our tiny apartment kitchens.

The fact of the matter is, our current shared kitchen space now feels like our tiny apartment kitchens of past. Cramped, over-crowded, and bustling with other businesses. In a short time we’ve developed an amazing and dedicated customer base throughout the Bay Area and we simply cannot keep up with demand in our current facility.

FRUIT:
Building a commercial kitchen is an expensive project and we need your help to get the necessary equipment to outfit our pop-making facility. By contributing to our campaign, you'll help us raise the requisite funds to purchase items like commercial freezers, a fridge, prep tables, blenders, stainless steel stock pots, a juicer, storage shelving, food grade storage and prep bins, jugs, more pop molds, a three tub sink, sanitizing dishwasher, and much, much more.

So, throughout this campaign we’re reaching out to YOU!—Our loyal customers, supporters, our friends, family, anonymous donors and all who we have collaborated with and had the pleasure of working with. Through this Kickstarter campaign, we’re asking YOU to help make our dreams come true. Help us outfit our own commercial kitchen space so we can meet the demands of our growing business throughout the years to come. By supporting our campaign, you'll be helping to support something larger--the continued push towards a healthier, happier, more sustainable food system.
Thanks for your support!
Sarah, Tim, Anne & Mark

We have a location in mind for our kitchen space and the building is currently under construction. We anticipate that the space will be ready for kitchen construction at the end of February. Facing delays in construction could set us back time wise, however, we are in regular communication with the builder and construction is on schedule. We have developed a strong working relationship with our current facility's manager and are fully prepared to commence the production of our product in our current facility if long-term delays do occur.
