This Kickstarter campaign has massively exceeded all of our expectations. We honestly though we would just scrape it. So to thank you for your kindness we have added an extra bonus reward for everyone who backed £35 or more.

We Love Music! We Love Discovering New Bands! We Love Sharing New Music!
We released our first album in Janaury 2012 as part of our State Of Music project in which we attempted and succeeded in discovering one unsigned and indie label band from all 50 US States.
We landed up releasing 5 State Of Music albums in total and because we are kind souls, donated all of the profits to Camden Calling - a London based community group who support homeless musicians.
Thanks to The State Of Music project, we came into contact with 50 outstanding bands, and we would now like to work with 6 of them to release their latest albums through Choose My Music Records.
For those of you who know our label and sister blog www.choosemymusic.org will know that we have already developed a reputation for discovering and promoting nothing but quality bands.
We will be releasing full studio albums by
Flashbulb Fires (Colorado),DEERPEOPLE (Oklahoma), L'anarchiste (Utah), Unsung (West Virginia), The Revolving Birds (Virginia) & Social Scientists (Florida)
If we meet our goal then we will be able to ensure that we can release these albums, get the CDs produced and hopefully afford a little bit of promotion for each album too.
We plan to release the first album as soon as possible after reaching our goal Ideally all 6 will be released before the end of 2013, if not before.
We really would love to continue releasing music - and this Kickstarter would enable us to continue doing what we love throughout 2013.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Choose My Music Records has already undertaken perhaps its biggest challenge by completing our State Of Music project and releasing 5 albums featuring 50 different bands from (literally) all over the United States.
There is a risk that one of our planned albums might fall through - bands can be unpredictable at the best of times - but we have developed so many contacts and established some strong relationships with so many bands, there will always be another top quality album lined up to replace it.
The majority of the work has been done, with the first three albums already recorded and the other three currently in the process of being recorded. So everything we are releasing has already been identified with band agreements in place.

No sir! As we are releasing 6 albums they will be released throughout the year, with the final album planned for December.

The short answer is no, not with this project.
Profits from the sales of our State Of Music albums are still being donated to homeless organisations but this particular Kickstarter is about us working with some of the best unsigned bands that we have found over the past 12 months.
Of course the hope is, with the extended interest in Choose My Music Records - we might be lucky enough to see an upturn of State Of Music album sales, which will give us more money to donate to charitable causes in 2013
