Wax Wings Productions is excited to announce our second project! We will premiere local playwright Kevin Kordis' Grandma's House, a haunting exploration of the story of Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother and of course, the Wolf.

"Once upon time there was a girl and wolf. Therein lies the heart of a story that has been told and retold for hundreds of years: from its beginnings as the bawdy, horrifying oral tale The Story of Grandmother, to Perrault’s cautionary tale that coined its iconic title Little Red Riding Hood, to the Grimm’s Fairytale that has become a staple to bedtime stories for millions." directly from our playwright, Kordis. That being said, we knew this would be a challenge and a great adventure.

Holly Schaff as Red/Grandma and Christopher Cohen (a founding member of Wax Wings) as the Wolf/Woodsman bring the cast together with director Jennifer Reddish. Rehearsals begin this week and all of us are more excited to bring this story to life than we can express. "We are still pursuing our mission; to explore Human Nature with all of its soaring highs and devastating lows. This play is the perfect playground to continue that journey." says Micah Tougas, founding member of WWP.

As this the premiere production of Grandma's House, there are a lot of exciting risks, choices and paths to be taken. With a fearless director, stellar cast, and creative team, Wax Wings begins its own journey into the dark woods.
