Hello Kickstarter, 

We are a young designer couple living in Paris (France) and today we want to introduce you our new project, made in France : 

Le petit cartable de Léo et Violette

The main idea behind this project is to try to solve a problem that we have :      For years we've been looking for an elegant , stylish and functionnal bag to carry our daily devices (MacBook pro , iPad , iPhone , accessories...). We were looking for a bag that we would be proud to wear. A bag that we could take for a meeting , a class or just a walk in Paris... After hours of research we realized that the market of this kind of bag was divided in 2 parts :

- Really high quality bags (some of them in leather) , beautiful design but not adapted to our devices (no protections , pockets are too large , can only fit one product , no room for accessories...). 

OR 

- Poor quality bag , poor design but really well thought for devices (protections, fit perfectly your devices, place for chargers , adapters...)  All this time spent on searching the perfect bag helped us realized what we truly love. 

And what we both truly love is the elegant , classic , and unisex look of the original leather "cartable".

We wanted to start from this point and we decided to keep the outside look unchanged, BUT we redesigned and adapted the inside of the bag with a :

13 inch compartment to fit your MacBook Pro/Air (or any 13" laptop)

10 inch compartment to fit your iPad (or any 10" tablets)

Back pocket to fit your chargers , external hard drives , adapters....

And of course a large compartment to fit your books , folders , papers....      

The accessories , materials and details are carefully choosed to meet the needs of a really high quality "cartable".  

The 13" and 10" pockets are doubled with velvet. This means your devices are perfectly safe and well protected. No need for an extra sleeve. No need for an extra hard case .

• 37.5cm (horizontal) 
• 28.5cm (vertical)

Materials used :

• 100% calfskin leather from France
• Velvet 100% cotton inside the pockets
• 2 aluminium TUCS to close it
• Zipp to close all the pockets (see update HERE)
• Coton inside the cartable.

WHY 390$ ?

First of all because 390$ = 295€. And that’s the price we choosed.                   So now , why 295€ ? There are a dozen of reasons for that price but we decided to focus on 5 :

1/ The outside of the bag is ENTIRELY made with pure leather. Our leather is the best leather you can have. It’s a natural vegetable leather. It’s the kind of leather you will find in «haute couture».

2/ Every details are high quality details. It goes from the zipp - to the thread that we used for the liner. From the velvet 100% coton - to the shoulder strap

3/ This is not «just a bag». It’s also a sleeve. A sleeve for your iPad. A sleeve for your MacBook. 

4/ Made in France. The french "savoir-faire" is one of the highest in the world. And it has a price! 

5/ This is the price. Even if we consider our product unique, if you have look on the other «similar» product on the market they have a higher, price. ( Hard Graft , Ally Cappellino , Michael Kors, Wantlesessentiels, Mismo...........)
