You are the new zookeeper in Banonkey™ Town. With the help of your trusty banana cannon, you must capture the monkeys that have escaped from the zoo, help the townspeople, save Frank from the plundering Proboscis, climb to the top of Laida’s tree fort, and unravel the mysteries of the Monkey Temple. The secrets surrounding Banonkey™ Town veil the truth and motives of its townspeople. It’s up to you to get the answers you need to return the monkeys to safety. The game’s fun characters, extraordinary artwork, easy to use controls, and intriguing plot twists guarantee repeat game playability.

Until recently, the barriers to entry in the industry were too big for someone without years of experience in the field to even consider creating a video game. Now, with fan-based funding and digital distribution, the landscape of video game development has transformed the playing field.  The opportunity exists and we’re going to take it. 

We are creating a “game series” where episodes, (rapid sequels) are released every thirty to sixty days so players do not have to wait years for new plot and gameplay. 

The first episode, Banonkey™ Town: Monkey Menace is ready for Beta testing.  We’re asking for your financial support to help us finish this episode and develop four more. Because we are creating Banonkey™ Town in installments, you – the player - will have opportunities to submit level ideas, help us uncover bugs and create cool puzzles that can be incorporated in the game.

We have invested every penny we have for rent and the development team.  We are turning to Kickstarter to help us finish Banonkey™ Town. We’ll use the money for:

Music & Sound Effects: We desire to hire musicians to compose music and create sound effects that match the playfulness and mystery of our story and characters.

Hosting: Bandwidth and maintenance for our website and forums, as well as a server to handle traffic.

Additional Software Licenses: Right now we have one copy of Unity Pro and we are forcing all of our work through that one machine. We have to shift our hours around so that everyone on the team has an opportunity to complete their work on the project. Having additional copies of Unity Pro would allow each team member the freedom to work faster and more efficiently. Right now, we have a huge bottle neck in our production pipeline and your contributions would help us solve this issue.

Survival: Covering rent and the development team until the episodes are completed.

Polish: If we reach our goal, all additional funding will be used to polish the game.

Soulaire Allerai, the CEO of G Fold LLC/Troop 13 Studios, came up with this incredible story and knew it had to be made into a game. Having watched her two sons grow up playing video games, Soulaire witnessed the evolution of this industry first-hand. What started as a child’s interest in Space Invaders and Pac Man developed into a hobby with Nintendo games like Mario Bros., Donkey Kong and the epic saga The Legend of Zelda. Now, her adult sons play countless video games on a variety of gaming platforms.

Soulaire realized that there was a lot to be said for how people relate to games. She took a leap of faith and pulled together an amazing team of young and creative talent to help bring her vision to life. Soulaire purposely hired a mixture of students and recent graduates in the gaming field to work on Banonkey™ Town. She believes the planet’s young people are our most valuable resource and that there should be no such thing as a starving artist...really. When she approached her sons with the Alpha version of Banonkey™ Town, they were shocked. They saw the foundation of a quality game. Now, having played the Beta version, they are awed by the game that has been created. From day one, Troop 13 members have received competitive pay. In return, they have poured their heart and soul into making this game amazing. We recently ran a Kickstarter campaign and quickly learned that we had launched it too early in our product development process. We discovered that people really like to see more polished aspects of a game. Over the past two months, we have received a lot of positive feedback and encouragement from around the world, so we are pushing through to finish Banonkey™ Town.
