Update #6: SpyCorp Submitted to Apple
Hi Kickstarter friends, remember us?
The iOS version of Spycraft has been pushed to Apple and will soon appear in the App Store. We renamed it SpyCorp to avoid confusion with two previous unrelated games named Spycraft -- so you're among the early few who knew it under its original name.
We'll send another quick update once the game is available, and meanwhile you can view the official trailer here:
http://wickedgames.net/2011/10/20/spycorp-official-trailer/
If you're not on iOS, no worries... our spies will be jumping, swinging, flying and karate-chopping their way onto other platforms soon.
Thanks again for your support and encouragement!
Sean and Kristopher
Update #5: Gameplay Video: Gadgetry In Action
Top Secret Briefing for Fellow Spies and Kind Backers:
Good news! The iOS version of the game is nearing beta, and furthermore... it looks like a special Web version (Facebook-integrated) may also be on the horizon. This is due in part to your enthusiasm, excellent suggestions, and general feedback!
And some bad news... Although we've attracted more than $2k, which is pretty amazing and downright humbling, it appears we may fall short of the Kickstarter goal needed to fund the Android version. Sorry droid users. If this occurs, we'll take another look at it in the future.
But more good news! We cut a quick video montage of some of the gadgets in action in a few of the actual game levels, plus a look at the Gadget Store. Please take a look! As always, feedback is very welcome.
Our next update will include a peek at multiplayer co-op as well as how to control multiple spies at once in single-player mode. Meanwhile, thanks again to all of you backers for supporting our little game!

Update #4: All Your Gadgets Are Belong to Us
Fellow agents: Your gadgets are ready. Here's a quick status update.
Gadgets: All of the gadgets in the game are now implemented, from suction cups that allow you to jump up on walls, to lockpicks, to scuba gear, to electromagnetic body armor and of course jetpacks and more. We're set to launch with more than a dozen gadgets, and will likely add more after the initial release.
I'll follow up with a video of these gadgets soon, meanwhile here's an image of the gadget store (we've also posted a few more screenshots to the main project page):
Art and Performance: All core art and animation is complete, as are the initial performance tests and optimizations for iOS (for the techies out there: we sit at 15-22 draw calls most of the time, well under the limit of 30 for most iOS devices, so the game will perform on older iPhones and iPods as well as the newer editions).
What happens if we don't reach the Kickstarter goal: The game will still appear on iPhone and iPad. The bad news: The game would not be released for Android and would not contain multiplayer, and there wouldn't be any Kickstarter swag to deliver to you, our awesome backers. It also may take a bit longer. The good news: If you have an iPhone or iPad, you'll still be able to play the game and send us your feedback.
So although it's beginning to look like we may fall short in this Kickstarter campaign, that merely implies that we're better at game dev than we are at fundraising -- it's still Game On!
As always, we thank you for your enthusiasm and encouragement for our little project.
Sean and Kristopher
Update #3: Video: Controlling Your Spies on iOS
Status update for our Beta Operatives, Kind Backers, and Lurkers in the Shadows:
The following video shows our game running on an iPhone. The video is quick and rough, but it illustrates the two ways you can control the game: (a) touch and (b) customizable dual stick. Pick your poison. Also: Yes those are my thumbs, and yes, I realize I am no hand model.
Coming soon, we'll share quick looks at some of the level mini-puzzles, awesomely fun gadgets, and the story and characters. For the technically-minded, I'll also post some of the code I wrote to do these things.
As always, comments and feedback are welcomed and appreciated!
Thanks again for your encouragement about our project --
Sean and Kris

Very cool idea letting the user customize the ui buttons I haven't seen that done in an iphone game yet.
I really hope you guys get funded. -

Thanks, Andy! Backing seems to have slowed a bit, but maybe we will feel a surge in these final two weeks. :)

Update #2: Spycraft: Character Images
Hi! Here's an image of some of the characters in the game, courtesy of Kris.
Who's an ally, who's an enemy... people are seldom as they seem. Well, except for the one who has the habit of ending sentences with the phrase: "Muhahaha" (often uttered in an inexplicably Hollywood/Transylvanian accent). He's pretty much just as he seems.
Oh, and thanks again for a great welcome to Kickstarter! And if you have game-loving friends who'd like to help shape this game along with us and the rest of our backers, feel free to bring them into our little spy ring.
Cheers ~ Sean
