About this project
Myself and my co-writer/co-producer Derek Mungor funded our first feature-length picture, "Desolation Wilderness," completely out of pocket and outside of any sort of "system," and then shot it with two friends (a cinematographer and production audio mixer) in a cabin in the woods for two weeks. Every step of the process has been done ourselves and with close friends, limited-to-no budget, and wholly motivated by our want to make a product we're proud of. We've finished the picture (almost) entirely and the one cost that's stopping us from releasing the movie is a proper color correction to give it its intended look. We hope to use Kickstarter to not only finish that, but to further involve more creative minds in our idea/process and hopefully get more discussions going about truly independent production/distribution.

Short synopsis: Two friends, fed up with the limitations placed on them within the city limits, quit art school and escape into the woods of northern Wisconsin to record an album. While there, the wilderness begins to close in around them and the two begin to drift into a state of surrealism.
