The Story:

'The Queen of Crescent Hills' follows Jeffrey, a lonely kid who wishes that his life were more like Chinatown or The Maltese Falcon. Jeffrey becomes fascinated with Persephone, a wise girl who is skeptical of recently being named Prom Queen. A power-hungry sadist, Lance is throwing a party to celebrate being named Prom King. But every King needs his Queen... Realizing that Persephone's being dragged into darkness, Jeffrey must take action for the first time in his life. Is he ready to descend into hell itself to save the one he loves? 

What it's about:

This is a story about growing up and confronting reality. About taking action and risking yourself. About how dreams can both influence and represent our subconscious. 

This film creates a surreal world based on mythology but centered on true human emotions. It's a mythological documentary, as Kubrick would say. A true visual feast. 

Drawing diverse influences from Blue Velvet and Blade Runner to Heathers, 'The Queen of Crescent Hills' is an ambitious project from a collective of passionate college students. 

It's a lot to take on, but we have the vision and the drive. We just need your help.

Who Are We?

Delta Kappa Alpha, USC's professional cinema fraternity. An organization founded in 1936 with alumni like George Lucas and honorary members such as Alfred Hitchcock, James Stewart, Billy Wilder, and countless other legends.
