LEGACY OF COOL is a Limited Edition Denim Line and Documentary Film about the history and the craftsmanship of Denim.
“Legacy of Cool” is a Limited Edition Denim Line and Documentary Film project and our mission is simple: To illuminate a story that celebrates craftsmanship, design, and a deep love of American Denim. The production of our jeans is a “journey” that will take us across the globe as we seek out the materials, inspiration, and the people who genuinely share our passion and love for the Denim Jean.
By pledging your support for our project you will receive our Denim Jeans and Basic Goods, becoming an owner of our blood, sweat, and tears. You will also become a direct investor and participant in the completion of our Documentary Film project. Your investment will allow us to bring over the denim we discovered in Japan for our final production run of our jeans. You will also aid us in our quest to travel back east to get inside the New York Denim world, completing the third and final leg of our journey.
Your support will allow us to complete the film by hiring additional crew to handle the costly stages of post-production which include editing, visual effects, audio engineering & sound mixing.
Some of the leading Denim experts in the industry that will be featured in the Film are Zip Stevenson, founder of the Hollywood Trading Company (HTC), Jeff Rudes, founder of J BRAND, and Atsu Tagaya, founder of Stevenson Overall Co.
Through our efforts we have been able to gain access to the world renowned NIHON MENPU century old Textile mill. For the first time in history, we will be able to see inside this amazing Japanese treasure.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Due to our extensive research and traveling, the only risks we can foresee would be traditional risks including weather and equipment malfunctions when shooting. Other than the risks that are beyond our control, we're incredibly confident in the teams we have hand selected to complete our film and to manufacture our basic goods that accompany the project!
