About this project

My goal is to direct a 93-page horror script penned by myself and co-writer James Neyman ("The Slasher"). We will be shooting on a Canon HD camera, with practical and CG make-up effects, working with indie bands on a killer soundtrack and digging out some public domain golden oldies to spark some key scenes.

The goal is to hire some of horror's finest actors to participate in the proceedings, with special cameos by notorious faces and ones familiar to our camp (Kevin Petroff and Pamela Price of "Hemo"). The money raised here will go toward leading actor salaries, props and crew expenses (special make-up effects, boom mount, driver expenses, costumes, post-production/promotion and more).

Below is a synopsis for the project, as well as a DVD/poster tagline and a note on some horror figures already attached to the film!

Tagline: When he pokes you…You bleed…

Notable horror personalities Richard Taylor (Poultrygeist, The Misled Romance of Cannibal Girl & Incest Boy, Tromadance Shorts) and Shawn C. Phillips (President’s Day, Sasquatch Assault, Banshee!!!) are already attached. Help us bring more horror icons to the table and to make this project every bit as good as it deserves to be!

Synopsis: Noelle and her unrequited love Tia (her roommate) are two hot college sophomores who spent their entire freshman year studying. With the semester coming to a close, Tia wants to party and Noelle agrees to go out with her and drop Ecstasy. But before they can hit the club Noelle gets a mysterious message from a profile with no pic available. The message is from a person named Tim who swears they met “at that club that time.” He leaves Noelle his (throwaway) cell phone number and urges her to call him so they can “connect.”

Later, while rollin’ on E at the club, Noelle crank calls Tim and interrogates him about the club they supposedly met at. Unsatisfied with his answers, she hangs up on him. Shortly thereafter Tia overdoses in the club bathroom. Luckily for her (or not) Tim calls back and walks Noelle through making sure her friend is safe.

As a means of paying Tim back for saving her friend’s life, Noelle agrees to meet him for drinks. She is very surprised to find that he seems not at all creepy and that he is, in fact, kind of cute. Over cocktails Tim alleges to have been one of the co-creators of the social networking site through which he contacted her. His charm, good looks and supposed wealth are enough to convince Noelle to have him back to her apartment to party.

Tim concocts a very special milkshake with euphoric properties and the girls go gaga over him and the drug. But soon Noelle begins to fall in and out of consciousness and it’s obvious that her milkshake was spiked. The last thing she remembers seeing before passing out is Tia getting murdered.

When she wakes up she’s in the back of a car. When the driver pulls over to get take-out from an Italian restaurant she manages to escape and flee back to her apartment. The cops are called upon and she recounts the hazy but terrifying memories of the night before. Alas, the drug in the milkshake was time-released and Noelle is still very much high.

Believing her wild story to be the ramblings of a “doper,” the cops leave and look no further into the alleged disappearance of roommate Tia. In a state of enhanced desperation, Noelle decides that the only way she is going to get to the bottom of what happened is to retrace her steps while high. Thus she overdoses on cough and cold medication and sets out to excavate the truth from a sea of hallucination.

Meanwhile someone is hard at work hacking up the locals in a bid to “collect their Top Ten.” What will the fate of these virtual victims be and how do they relate to Noelle’s plight? These answers and more will be revealed when a special Purple Bunny Rabbit leads Noelle down a psychotropic path of very bloody bread crumbs.

For fans of psychological mindbenders like "Let's Scare Jessica To Death" and "Shutter Island," No Image Available is the movie to finance, to watch and to revel in. A splatterpunk mixture of hallucinatory absurdism, surreal fantasia, gruesome gore and slow burn suspense, N.I.A. will satiate fans of every genre and sub-genre around! Be the first to kickstart our budget and you'll be thrilled with the results!
