A journey. Lost love. Redemption. The story of Grandpa Tempo is not at all unlike your own story. The 1st ever swing concept album.
Our pal, Grandpa Tempo, asked us to chronicle his life on this album. He's a bit of a cranky bugger and, rather than face getting whacked on the head with his cane, we obliged. We've been playing songs about his life live in smoky jazz clubs and ballrooms for the past several years so it became time to put them together on an album. This album will include both live and studio cuts of tracks that Grandpa Tempo hand selected.
This is an historic album, not only because Grandpa Tempo's story of his travels, broken heart, and ulitmate redemption needs to be told. This is also the first ever swing concept album that tells a coherent story from beginning to end. While the genres of tracks on the album range from swing, dixieland, doo wop, rock, texas two-step, blues, and gosple, listeners will get a sense of the life and times of Grandpa Tempo.
The album is expected to contain 17 tracks. We're seeking funding to finish up recording, mixing, and mastering in addition to pressing the albums.
