One year after their debut full-length album Oceans Rise, Thinning the Herd have made plans to record a follow-up this summer. The band recently underwent a lineup overhaul, with drummer Rick Cimato (Nassau Chainsaw, God’s Green Earth) and bassist Wes Edmonds (Memphis Native, Engineer) joining earlier this year. Thinning The Herd will begin recording the new album, which is tentatively called Freedom From the Known, in August with prolific producer Steve Albini.
