In the time since our launch, I've gotten a great deal of good feedback about our app, and it's caused me to re-evaluate some of the key points I want to realize with this project.

All of it can be summed up in two points.

1. To make tabletop role playing easier. Specifically, to make combat faster.

There are several choices out there for keeping track of your character, and ours will do that too, but what we're dedicated to is getting this app to crunch the numbers for you. Once your character's loaded in, and the app has all your mods, you'll have a simple choice tree of actions like Attack, make a skill check, cast a spell, make a save. The DM will have your info too, plus all their own notes and stats.

2. To make an app that's ultra versatile.
Ultimately we want to create an app that lets the user choose what game system they want to use. To start, that means our own original Aeranos system and the coding to be compatible with Pathfinder d20. At our base funding level this will include everything the player needs to input characters and automate rolls, and everything the GM needs to keep track of game notes, NPC and monster stats, to make automated rolls and to keep track of combat. Were gonna make every part as customizable as possible, so if you don't see something your group uses, you can add it. Even share it on the website. That means races, abilities, items, spells, you name it!

As a base, the Aeranos app will come with a fantasy setting of our own design called, you guessed it, Aeranos. It's something our group and other local groups have played for years and has the detail to prove it, AND we plan on releasing it and the Aeranos ruleset under a Creative Commons license so that everyone can have access to it. But in the end, as much as I think you'll love it, that's just window dressing. If you read about it, and like it, great! You're ready to roll. If you'd rather port your own setting in, or use any of the multitude of other great settings out there, we've got you covered too. Urban fantasy and futuristic settings are in the works, and can and will be added as funding permits. More funding means more support for popular systems and settings as well as the possibility of map and grid support, all in-app!

Helping us make this project a reality is Josh Tischer of Codepyro, a great web and mobile app developer who built and helps run a successful media company in Durango, Colorado. Josh brings with him years of experience.

Helping with the art for Aeranos is Brady Choate of BC Illustration, who currently has a brother project running for his great Graphic Novel titled "Sons of a Distant Earth," based on some of our more exciting Aeranos adventures.

Money from the project will largely be going to Josh for a coding chore that he'll only make look easy, along with funds for promotion, additional art, and future expansions and releases.
