This short film will be directed by Max Baird and is a grant recipient from Studio 22, a Northwestern University film organization.

Rob Lovell, a veteran henchman, er, security guard for Ellison Vehicular Innovations, Limited, has lost a lot of partners in the line of duty. He’s been knocked out, tranquilized, and shot himself, but he needs the paycheck and keeps coming back for more to support his unhappy marriage and dumpy apartment. After spending 15 years with the company, he’s assigned to guard a mysterious vault door deep within the bowels of an E.V.I.L. facility with a new partner, Dennis Peters, who is on his first day with the company. Lovell educates Peters on the everyday goings on of being one of E.V.I.L.’s hired goons: being shot by rogue commandos, clubbed by spies, or trying to have a smoke without taking a tranquilizer dart to the neck. Peters, aiming to please his new coworker, is unsure about the line of work he has chosen given Lovell’s new insight on the hazards of his new workplace. When their mysterious boss comes by their quiet vault one day, Lovell and Peters find out just what it’s like to be an anonymous henchman, being killed or knocked out by one of the many “heroes” sent after the boss and E.V.I.L.
