Mercenary Kings coming to OUYA!
We've been thinking about it for a while, but now it's official: Mercenary Kings will be coming to OUYA!
Since we'll be needing some extra time to port the game code, the OUYA version will be released at a later date than the PC version.
Even though this is not 100% confirmed, Julie Uhrman told us in an email that they're planning to support download codes on OUYA. This means that, if codes are supported, all backers who pledged $15 or more will get Mercenary Kings for free on OUYA in addition to the Steam key!
Also, since there's only 7 days left to our Kickstarter campaign, we will be giving away one copy of Wizorb iOS on Tribute Games Facebook page and another one on Twitter everyday until time's up!

Porting to OUYA sounds like a bit of a waste. You're not really going to be increasing the number of people who can play your game, you'll just be wasting time on a port for people who already own or otherwise have access to your game, and time is money, so the port will wind up losing you money. I would have waited until after the OUYA has either proven itself or failed to prove itself before pledging to make an OUYA port.

@Kris -- OUYA has a controller with buttons; if they want to port MK to other Android devices or iOS, they'd have to implement touch input and control scheme so that'd be additional work.

well, just don't care about OUYA... don't see any benefit about playing any game on this console. And i don't believe on Ouya hype at all.
But ok! Above all things, make mercenary kings a good game! :]
I loved wizord and bought it for me and gave another copy to my girlfriend on launch day, on steam :]
