Animation and MMPA rating for a kids adventure film.
Lights Out Rowan is a good kids adventure film. It was made for $30,000. It was completed in the Fall of 2011.
It stars three very talented child actors who are the heroes of the story. Rowan Jaynes, Jordan Stenner, and Tommy Walsworth.
We have shown it for free at Arts councils, Time Warner on Demand, and a few chapters on the internet.
There is a children's novel of the story as well.
Our funds are tapped out and we're looking to make a major push for this Halloween with a DVD release. Kids movies need to be rated so that parents can trust that this story is suitable for their children.
An animated intro needs to be produced because 1. I'm terrible at animation and need ot hire someone to do it, 2. MJ Butler is an incredible talent and will produce something great and 3. Kids need to realize that this movie is for them when they start to watch it. Think Pink Panther with a touch of scary.
If all goes well with DVD sales, we can shoot the second book in the series (available this fall), before the actors get too old.
Lights Out Rowan is an independent fantasy series in the vein of Harry Potter.
