About this project
Update: We did it! We reached the fundraising goal! This is actually happening. Any money raised from this point on will go toward making the album better and publicizing the hell out of it.
Hi, my name is Kirsten and I'm a Boston-based singer-songwriter raising money to make a new full-length album. (Click here to listen to my music)
Recently, my friend Whit asked me to write a song for a documentary he’s making. It’s called Rolled, it’s about being young, taking risks, and TP-ing houses. In exchange for writing the song, I have the opportunity to make a full-length, professionally recorded album for a discounted rate. The only catch is that I have to have everything recorded, mixed & mastered in time for the film to be submitted to SXSW on November 15th.
The final track list, album artwork, musical arrangement and title will be coming together throughout the duration of the Kickstarter campaign and likely through November 15th. I’ll be blogging and posting videos to keep supporters updated on the process of the album while we all raise money for it. You can check that out on the Updates tab of this Kickstarter page or follow my album blog at kick.kirstenopstad.com
The funds raised through this campaign will go towards paying for recording, mixing, mastering, duplicating and distributing the album.
This will be the best thing I've ever made. I'd love for you to be a part of it.
Thank you so much for your time and for your support.

A donation to my Kickstarter.

No. Don't worry about that. But if you pledge $1,500 and would like me to do a house show in another country, you will need to ship me.

My good friend and castmate, Evan Kaufman. (Isn't he talented??)
