Dinner with North Vietnamese on Veteran's Day
As you may remember, through internet serendipity, Deryle made contact with a group of North Vietnamese Veterans who were on the other side of his gun during a horrific battle back in May of 1968. This time Deryle came prepared with gifts, a mesquite-handled ceremonial knife in a hand-stitched leather case all handmade by his friend Leroy Anderson, and a white stone with the word "Peace" in a cloth bag.
