Hi Everyone I’m France Garrido and along with my 2 partners, Olga Spiegel and Miguel Tio, we have curated an AMAZING exhibition entitled ‘VISIONARIES’. THIS exhibition will show the works of 40 extraordinary Visionary Artists from around the globe. You can only imagine our excitement! The exhibition will be held at the Queensborough Community College Art Gallery in NY. The exhibit will run from July 13 to September 20, 2012, with a special Opening Reception on July 12, from 5 – 8 pm. It was about a year ago that we embarked on this project to install an exhibition of this scope and nature at the QCC Art Gallery. It is a perfect fit! So here we are almost full circle, and we are down to the real nitty gritty! 

 This is where you come in, we have embarked on this Kickstarter project to help us with some crucial funding which would enable this exhibit to be publicized and advertised. 

 This exhibition of extraordinary historical significants and vision will present to the yearning public the fantastic world of Visionary Art. This genre of art houses the most imaginative and deeply felt images of art that there is to be seen in the annals of art history. There are key figures in the evolution and history of Visionary Art. From the van Eycks to Fuchs to Marlin to Venosa and to the more contemporary artists who are taking the wand and running with it. Albeit running with sensitivity, consciousness, vision and culture. The funds of this kickstarter program, would enable us to design and print a full color catalogue, create an advertising campaign, pay for some operational costs incurred over the year to execute this exhibition AND supply a bus shuttle for the attendees of the Opening Reception, from the center of NYC to the gallery location.
