The Middle East Peace Games will bring together distinguished teams of panelists in a unique format designed to produce a new and balanced proposal to move the Arab-Israeli peace process forward.

In the 64 years since the declaration of the state of Israel, a state of perpetual conflict has existed in the region. No peace negotiations are currently ongoing or planned, in spite of the fact that the security, prosperity, freedom, and well-being of all people in the region remain in a perilous state of uncertainty.

We are now experiencing an era when the inaction of powerful world governments can sometimes be overcome by the determined actions of motivated citizens. In this spirit, we propose a creative endeavor to seek new solutions and initiatives to remedy many decades of despair.

The Games

The games will be held over a three week period with daily sessions alternating between presentations, discussions, and deliberations. An innovative format incorporating elements of mathematical game theory will be employed to ensure that a definitive outcome is achieved within the time constraints of the event.

The participants will be expert panelists chosen through a rigorous selection process, guided by a distinguished advisory council assembled from the worlds of government, diplomacy, academia, journalism, and civic leadership.

The event will conclude with a magnificent closing ceremonies celebration gala, featuring entertainment, award presentations, celebrity guests, and film previews. On the following day, a press conference will unveil the peace proposal produced by the Middle East Peace Games. Plans for prospective follow-up activity will also be announced.

Your Rewards

We are offering a series of rewards that will serve as proud reminders of the role you played in supporting this groundbreaking effort. Acknowledgements include an ornate certificate ($50 or more),  a stunning gold-plated medallion ($500 or more), and a handsomely bound special edition of the peace proposal text, with a personalized dedication signed by the principal participants of the historic event ($1,000 or more, limited reward).

Anyone pledging over $50 will receive a special edition DVD of the documentary film, upon completion. Above the $500 level, backers will receive film credits, with prominent credits for those at the $10,000 level.

Backers of $1,000 or more will also receive a ticket to the grand celebration gala and for those pledging over $10,000, this will include travel and lodging expenses.

All support will, of course, be greatly appreciated and anyone pledging $10 or more can participate in the "Peace Scholar Challenge", which lets you support your favorite college or university as a potential recipient of a special "Spirit of Peace" award. The Film

The documentary film will be contracted to an independent filmmaker with terms to be negotiated.

While some preliminary contacts have already been made with experienced filmmakers, the assignment to chronicle the events of the Middle East Peace Games on video remains open to other qualified applicants.

Where the money will go

The Middle East Peace Games will be a not-for-profit venture with the sole objective of developing new solutions to one of the world's most persistent and vexing problems.

As is the case with any Kickstarter campaign, the full amount must be raised by the deadline, or all pledges will be returned to the backers and the project will receive no funding. The Peace Games will not proceed without a successful Kickstarter campaign. Full transparency will be provided and a budget will be published identifying all expenditures.

Your support will finance both the actual groundbreaking event and the documentary film that will share the endeavor with the world. The production cost of the film may be fully or partially covered through the Kickstarter funding.

The cost of hosting the three week event and bringing the teams of experts together will constitute a major portion of the projected expenses. We intend to hire a small, dedicated administrative staff to plan and oversee the event over a five month period. The closing ceremonies gala will be partially financed from the fundraising effort. Reward fulfillment is also included in the overall cost of the project.

Should we be so fortunate as to exceed the funding goal, additional monies will be targeted towards enhancing the film production, increasing the public relations budget, and improving any aspect of the event that can increase the success and influence of the games.
