Supermachine Poetry Journal is an independent literary journal in need of funding to print two new issues in 2011. After releasing our first two issues in 2010 (to much critical acclaim) we were ecstatic to discover we had a growing reputation as one of the most exciting and relevant publications in contemporary writing. HTMLGIANT referred to Issue One as "one of the best first issues of a journal I have read in a long time." We've been able to give voice to previously unpublished authors who show a lot of promise, as well as the authors we already love.
We are hoping to continue our streak by building longer issues, including more contributors and using a higher production value that our cover artists and contributing writers deserve. We rely entirely on the pro bono work offered artists and book designers to making Supermachine as great as it is. However, without any financial from sponsorship, we are not able to cover the expenses necessary to go to the professional levels of production.
