Frustrated by our politicians’ inability to get anything done about climate change, ever, one independent filmmaker spent 3 months studying the great nonviolent movements, and is now going to put those lessons, and his talents and tenacity, into making 3 big statements this summer. 

My name is Curtis Hannum and I'm that filmmaker, and this summer I'll first be marching between the headquarters of two big oil companies who have sunk millions of dollars into efforts to create public doubt about climate change, then I'll ride my bike along the coast of Florida (which could soon be underwater, so I'm calling that action the Going Away Party for FLORIDA!), and finally I'll be in Tampa and Charlotte for the 2 big political conventions to let the media and the politicians know that we will no longer allow them to ignore this crisis. 

This creative project will initially have a real-time component so I'll be posting a daily video blog from the road, and I'll be taking a funny special guest along with me on the trail (Okay, it's a polar bear puppet with a bad attitude--You'd have one too if your pack-ice melted!). 

Gandhi believed even a small number of very committed actionists could have a contagious effect, so I'm hoping people will join me as I'm doing these actions (which will make for a better movement, and movie)! 

I think people will one day wonder why they didn't do everything in their power to stop climate change before it was too late. If you're young and have the summer off from school, or if you're retired, or between jobs, or independently wealthy, or if you just think that this is so important that everything else can wait, come along! Also, a contribution to this project would be sooo great!
