Update #7: The time is here
First of all I want to thank all who have helped, donated and stood behind us. The local premiere was March 9th to a sold out red carpet premiere at the Detroit Independent Film Festival. The film was up against strong competition and garnered a respectable Honorable Mention. The reviews were very positive and we are planning to submit to many more festivals soon.
Now to our backers. We are getting your gifts together and they all should be mailed to you mid April. The digital downloads will be coming to you much sooner but please, please do not post the video online or make copies. We need to keep the availability limited while the film is in the festival market.
So please keep an eye out for an email with directions for your digital download of Side Effects .
Here is a tip, play this LOUD... Keith Stark has down an incredible job mixing this into an unbelievable experience.
Once again THANK YOU we could not of done it with out you.

Update #6: In the home stretch.
Hola film peoples. Just a quick update to tell you how things are going. Side Effects is a few CGI shots away from being ready for final post. After all the effects are laid back into the edit we need to do some color correction, sound sweetening and them fine tune the score. I would put a date on the finished product at around Halloween. The first trailer should be ready in the next week .
We just got word that Side Effects was accepted into the D.I.F.F., The Detroit Independent Film Festival. Once the film is completed will we be sending it out to festivals around the world.
On another note I am proud to announce that our short film " The Fall of a Sparrow" won 1st place at the DWIFF film festival and another short film we made. " The Drop" won 4 awards including 2nd best film at the National 48 hour Film Festival.
Thanks for all your support and helping us fund this project.

I am so happy that we have reached our first goal of $1500.00. Scallywag Productions wants to say a huge thank you to all who have supported us in this endeavor. We start shooting first week of March and should wrap by months end. We are hard at work doing all the scouting and production design. We are very excited on how this is coming together. The $1500.00 was just the minimum amount needed to start production so feel free to pass along this link to others who may want to support local film making. Also remember , you are not just giving your money away. You are getting some sweet stuff in return. Think of it as shopping at a film makers store, you are helping out the arts and you get a nice gift.
Thanks Mike Clark
Scallywag Productions.
