GREETINGS

As you just found out if you read/watched the little clip above, I am Alison Brook and I'm a singer/songwriter. I feel God has called me to be a music missionary--a "musicianary"--so I can share about His love through the songs I write. Thus far in my career I've been involved with different singing groups, traveled, toured, and even did several musical mission trips to countries like Honduras. 

Now it's time to share new songs and messages by recording a second album. Even the Bible says "sing a new song to the Lord." 

MUSIC: NEW AND OLD

You probably want to know what kind musician I am before you support me. Understandable. Here is one of my favorite tracks from my last album:

The album The Heart of the Matter will consist of 10-12 songs (the final count is still in process) with topics ranging from prayer, marterydom, returning to Christ, Heaven, and love. The center of every song, and undoubtedly the album as a whole, will be Jesus. This is why I chose the title track "The Heart of the Matter." Here is a live performance:

RECORDING PROCESS

I have been blessed with a small amount of recording equipment that I will be using to record basic tracks at home. From there I will send my tracks off to a producer and several other recording professionals who will add, polish, and produce to make the songs sound professional. I will be using CD Baby, a distribution company that makes it easy for independent artists to share music, to reproduce physical copies.

WHAT IT COSTS

$4,000 - Production

$1,300 - CD Duplication 

$300 - Remaining recording equipment needed

$400 - Mastering

$300- Photos, website, design work

$200 - Shipping, odds & ends

Total: $6,500

[Any funds raised beyond the $6,500 marker will go to hiring more live musicians, touring costs, and promotion. Bottom line: all extra money will be funneled right back into my ministry.]

REWARDS

It's hard to give an example of the rewards listed because they have yet to be created. However, the reward for the largest donation, a house concert, can be really fun. Take a look at one I did last fall:

God has placed within me the drive to write, sing, and record songs. Partnering with me will not only bring a little music to your ears, but will spread of the gospel a little further by bringing this music to the ears of others. However, consider this... sometimes music has a way of touching people when nothing else can.
