Kickstarter

I made an environmental education poster, along with Andrea Troncoso, who did the illustrations, and artist Valentina Pérez.  I want to print at least 1000 copies of the poster to distribute free to children where I work in Santiago, Chile. 

Junto la artista Valentina Pérez, y Andrea Troncoso, quien hizo las ilustraciones, hice un afiche de educación ambiental.  Me gustaría imprimir al menos 1000 copias del afiche para repartirlos gratuitamente a niños en Santiago de Chile.

Chile is a biodiversity hotspot and has lots of endemic animals and plants that live only here.  And most of them are cute, funny and charismatic!  I want to introduce local children to the animals and plants they can find all around them, if they know to look.  This poster introduces some of the most charismatic species through a very short story.  Kids can cut and fold the poster to form a booklet, and they can write and illustrate their own story on the back.

 Chile central es un área destacada por su biodiversidad, y tiene muchos animales y plantas endémicos que viven solamente en esa zona.  ¡Y la mayoría son tiernos, chistosos y carismáticos!  Mi intención es presentarlos a los niños locales.  Este afiche presenta algunas de las especies más carismáticas a través de un cuentito.  Los niños pueden cortar y doblar el afiche para hacer un librito, y pueden escribir e ilustrar su propio cuento en el reverso.

The illustrations (of which you see one here) and design of the poster are almost complete and have already been funded.  I just need $440 in order to print at least 1000 copies. 

Las ilustraciones (de las que puedes ver una acá) y diseño del poster están casi completos, y ya cuentan con fondos.  Necesito solamente $440 (USD) para imprimir al menos 1000 copias.

If you help fund this project, you'll get an image of the poster that you can print.  I'm also giving away numbered woodblock prints that I have made myself, showing some of the Chilean plants and animals that I like.
