What is exactly is Random Acts of Broadway anyway?

It's a mix of Broadway songs.

It's a whole new, creative collaborative story.

It's the story paired with the Broadway songs.

Our CD will have the full-length Broadway songs on it, with a newly created story tying the songs together. Yet the CD is a precursor to do a live show. We need your help to do this!

I'M MAKING A CD!!!!

Yes, folks, a musical recording of several "random" Broadway songs which will also include a simple, newly created story, with your input!. This crazy dream that I've imagined almost my whole life is, with your help (hint-hint), becoming a reality! And you can be a huge part of this creative project.

I really hope that Random Acts of Broadway increases awareness of and appreciation for Broadway music. I've chosen several Broadway songs from completely different shows and various genres. With your help and input, I will tie these songs together through a newly created story that implements the suggestions I receive from you. Your involvement makes this project (and every subsequent project) a unique and collaborative artistic journey for both the performer and supporters.

FACING THE FUTURE

The CD is the end goal of this Kickstarter project. However, the bigger dream is to make Random Acts of Broadway into a live show that can always be reinventing itself. What do I mean by that?

The beauty of improv is that it can't be duplicated. Every show is completely different from the next. I'd like to reach a point where I could do live shows completely improvised using input from the audience about which songs will be sung and what information will be included in the storyline. I would employ social media to receive feedback from supporters who might not be able to attend a live show and to generate excitement for particular songs or storylines.

I thought making a CD was dreaming big, but this is so much bigger and so much fun! Jump on board and see where this exciting artistic journey takes us all!
