About this project

The Seattle True Independent Film Festival has always relied on the support of the Film Community to produce our Festival. This year we wanted to use Kickstarter as a tool to reach out to the community and let everyone know how easy it is to become a Supporter and a Sponsor and to make it clear how we recognize your contributions. This year we need your support more than ever to make our 8th year possible.

We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit and an All Volunteer Staff of over 30 individuals that work together to produce the Festival. Our Mission is to Support the Film Community by presenting the work of Filmmakers to an audience that really appreciates the opportunity to see it.

Putting on a Film Festival is more than just showing films. We are well know for our Parties and Special Events that bring people together and encourage networking and socializing between Local Filmmakers, Visiting Filmmakers, Industry and Fans.

Funds raised through this Kickstarter Campaign will go to putting deposits on our Theaters & Venues, Creating and Printing Marketing Materials, Hiring an Artist to create an Original Design for our Posters and doing everything we can to Promote the Festival.

What kind of films do you show?

True Independent films are usually films made with smaller budgets by filmmakers that often finance their films from their savings, credit cards, friends & family and using crowd sourcing sites such as Kickstarter. They are films that are made because the Filmmakers have a passion for the art or film and a story that they really want to tell. We give these filmmakers a venue and and audience for these films.

How will becoming a Sponsor of your festival help my Company/Brand/Product etc

We realize that most businesses that contribute to arts organizations like to be recognized for their contribution. In exchange for your support we will give you an opportunity to get your Brand/Product/Message in front of our audience. Last year our attendance topped 5,000 (Including films, parties & music events). It can be hard to generalize about our audience but we find the average viewer to be well educated professional, tech savvy, Seattle resident, multi-ethnic lover of the arts. We also attract a large audience that consider themselves Flimmakers or film professionals that are attracted to the films they contributed to or have friends that contributed to the films we are showing or that have shown films with us in the past and return year after year. If you have a product or service that appeals to Filmmakers it is a great opportunity for you.
