Notes From The Bored Walk is a collection of poems that I've written and compiled over the past 4 years. They've been edited, torn apart, sewn together, and written out time and time again. After writing out one of these poems into yet another journal I thought, "Hmm. Why don't I try and just make this published?" And then decided to embark on this quest without the help of a publisher.

First came the writing, which is always happening, and therefor needed to be editing at a quicker pace. Choosing which poems to put in the book and where they should go, formatting, stylization and the like. Then followed coming with a title, which I tinkered with for a while before landing upon Notes From The Bored Walk. To me, Notes is a jab at all the time spent just going somewhere and picking up an idea out of nothing, be it a passing conversation, the weather, what-have-you. Sometimes there's a clear direction that the poem comes from but more often than not it's not clear to me until the last line is pegged down. 

After the ball started rolling there it was up to find someone to get the cover down.  I'm a firm believer that covers can be a tipping point sometimes, and wanted to go to someone good that would be able to convey what I wanted, but better. So I went to Sarah Robbins, a friend of mine and soon to be graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). We batted around ideas and then I let her do what she does, and she did it so well. 

The only thing left to peg down was getting the books bound and sent to me, and it is here where difficulty arises. Because of shipping prices, I need to raise funds to be able to buy books in bulk, so I can not only send them to people who'd like to buy a copy, but also to advertise in person. I'll be putting in almost all of what's in my bank account into this venture, and attempting to raise the money as well.

I'd really hate for this to become something that just ends up on the digital shelf, which is why I'd really appreciate it if you helped back this project!
