With more than 7000 backers, we broke the $300k mark to include Python in our final release. You've proven many of the naysayers wrong and I'm truly astounded by the support and excitement you've all shown. While I put up a blog post saying exactly that, I just wanted to reiterated here how amazingly grateful we are for the faith you've shown.
Very exciting times are ahead, I'm glad you'll be sharing them with us.
The reason the survey is now closed is because of a limitation with the platform we used for it - getting 2000 results in < 4 hours is an amazing response rate, one that very few others could ever hope for! For any future surveys we'll take that into account and make sure everyone can participate.
There seems to be some misunderstanding about why we did the survey, though. The point was to get a sense for what everyone is using and to make sure that our very first efforts have the largest possible impact. This does not mean we won't be supporting all the platforms, nor does it change our intent to make the betas and such available to everyone. So don't be worried :)
The results that we got are here and remained basically steady throughout the entire survey.
