The storied friendship of Larry & Carl faces its ultimate test when the unlikely warriors are forced to square off in the boxing ring.
Hello and welcome to the Wedgerino fundraising page. Please watch the above video to learn about the origins of this project. (Or watch it here.)
We have reached our minimum goal; let's keep it going!
Wedgerino is a feature-length comedy. With this Kickstarter campaign, we're aiming to raise the rest of the money needed to go into production. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Please see the rewards to the right for incentives. And read on to learn more about this film, and how Kickstarter works.

The Story
Larry and Carl are sensitive guys, best friends and roommates, with cool girlfriends who love them. But they don’t have jobs, and their new landlord is angrily demanding rent.
All looks bleak until they meet Johnny, a charismatic stranger with a painful past. Johnny comes up with a plan to help the pair out of their financial bind: Larry and Carl must box each other on the undercard of a fight Johnny is helping to promote.
After bonding over a cup of coffee, Johnny takes Carl under his wing, training him for the big match. As Carl's enthusiasm for boxing grows, Larry becomes increasingly concerned that his best friend has moved on. Left with no choice but to console himself by eating ice cream in the dark, Larry better get ready for the fight of his life.

Aaron lives in Brooklyn and works on short films and commercials, and as a freelance writer. He is an award-winning writer, receiving a 2011 Lisagor Award from the Chicago Headline Club, Society of Professional Journalists, for an article exploring Henry Miller’s relationship to Judaism. He has been profiled on Bloomberg TV and elsewhere for writing entries on Wikipedia.

A Brief Guide to the Kickstarter Campaign
At the end of the Kickstarter, we will go into pre-production, with a plan to begin shooting in Brooklyn in February/March 2013. The shoot will be approximately 15 days. Credit cards will be charged at campaign's end.
Along with the money we’ve already raised, the monetary goal we’ve posted is the minimum amount needed to shoot the film, at a microbudget. Everything we raise will go directly to the creation of the film. Our aim is to raise more than our posted goal.
We thank all our supporters who have already made contributions through previous fundraising efforts. If you’d like to help out further by spreading the word, that would be great.

You can follow along with our progress on this Kickstarter page, on our official website, wedgerino.com, and on our official blog, 'rino, which is updated daily.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The main challenge is creating a quality film at a very low budget. We've been collaborating for five years, and will be bringing in other long-time collaborators to harness the chemistry that will go a long way toward offsetting budgetary constraints. We will use any and all local filmmaking, location, equipment and catering connections developed while living and working in New York.
