About this project
I'm going to make an album in two parts in 2011. The project is called 'Phantom Memory: The Musical'. It is not a musical.
This album is going to get made regardless of funding but I want it to be great. All money raised will go toward recording (paying for studio time, engineers, equipment, musicians, etc), production (a producer, mixing, mastering), and distribution/promotion of said album. My plan is first to release each part in a digital-only format, and then release both parts together in a limited-run, physical form. How the record sounds, how long it takes to record, what the packaging looks like, will all depend on how much money is raised.
I'm not looking to make a ton of money on this. I love music and I want to make it for people who want to hear it and that's really all there is to it.

Winston Audio have been an active band since 2001. Their lineup has been a constant game of musical chairs from the beginning (sixteen different players). Daniel, Winston Audio's senior-most and sole remaining active member isn't even part of the original lineup (he joined in early 2002). The name persists because it reminds its members (namely this one in particular) that music, like life, is built on the backs of those who came before. Music is community. It is conversation between friends over a home-cooked meal. Winston Audio just want a seat at your table.
