About this project
The Scarring Party wants desperately to tour the west coast this April/May. Unfortunately, the making of our new album Losing Teeth left us virtually bankrupt and unable to fathom embarking on a venture west.
We are a band without a booking agent or record label, and while we are quite accustomed to funding records and these endeavors ourselves, sometimes we need to rely on the kindness of strangers and patrons. Would you like to be one of our strange patrons?
To cover some of our expenses, such as renting a van, gas and potentially shipping or renting larger pieces of gear, we’ve set up a set of ludicrous incentives through Kickstarter to assist with finances for our tour. We wanted our incentives to be personalized in some manner, like song portraits, unique mixes and dental paraphernalia. If we reach the goal of $1500, we can finally tour the west coast (California, Oregon and Washington).
You can hear our music at the Scarring Party web parlor or on myspace. If you prefer reading about music to actually hearing it, the Onion AV Club wrote a wonderful review of our new record.
