We at Mighty Little Productions need your help for the world premier of The Naked Side of Grace: The Final Concert of Grace Fullest and Violet Tendencies at IRT Theatre February 29th to March 4th! IRT has been so kind to give us a residency and unlimited access to their theater for two weeks, but we still need costumes--such as an oil covered bird costume and a ferris wheel costume with cars that little plastic people can fall out of-- sets, video, rehearsal space before the start of the residency and money for our performers and musicians.

The Naked Side of Grace: The Final Concert of Grace Fullest and Violet Tendencies stars two burlesque artists, Grace Fullest, who has a penchant for pontificating about Madonna and cultural decline while scantily clad in just a few shredded shopping bags, and her significantly less angsty girlfriend Violet Tendencies, who hopes to inspire everyone to leave a trail of glitter wherever they go. Together they road trip across the American South and organize burlesque workshops at every stop in the slightly misguided hope that burlesque can save the nation—and their failing relationship. Soon Grace goes missing and foul play is suspected. The play weaves original alt-country music, video and burlesque into its tale about living in Barack Obama’s America, facing the past and twirling on down the road. This is the first production of the show, but it had a reading at Theater for The New City as part of the their New City, New Blood series. It was written by Lucile Baker Scott and features music by Mike Milazzo, Monica Rodriguez and Scout Durwood, the direction of Stella Powell-Jones and the producorial genius of Jesse Cameron Alick.
