Had a very productive week last week meeting with contractors and suppliers at the show house.  Got the very good news that much of what I'm hoping to accomplish construction-wise is very minor and should be easily accommodated by my self-imposed deadline of April 15.  Why April 15 when the house doesn't open until May 4, you ask?  I'll need a good two weeks to shoot photos, as well as design and print marketing materials for distribution at the event.  There will also be a press preview of the show house in advance of public viewing, so it's important everything is in place and "just so".

Work-in-progress includes:

  • Fabric estimates for custom sewing (pillows, slipcovers, and such)
  • "Living wall" estimate and total number of plants needed for the system
  • Contractor negotiations with subs for cabinetry, tile installation, painting, electrical, etc.

Next up:  ordering fabric, lighting, pillow fabrication, accessories, and wet bar items.
