Update #5: Email!

Posted on May 4

It was recently brought to my attention that my Kickstarter account was linked to a dead e-mail address.

If you've written in the past, or have any questions, feel free to reach me via my website.

Update #4: Updates...

Posted on May 2
Howdy,

I realize it's been almost a year since the Kickstarter, and I'd been wanting to write, pending some large developments.

Well, thanks to all of you, I was able to move forward with translating the interviews, and the project is moving forward. There's been some significant progress and rather exciting developments, but I have to keep that under wraps for the time being.

I owe you all quite a bit…the least of all your rewards for donating. I'm going to start sending out the rewards in June.

You've been patient with me, and I appreciate it…I promise, I'll let you all know more when I can.

In the meantime, there's been some lovely press on the project, which you can see here

Best,

Joshua

Update #2: Press!

Posted on April 22, 2011

We've gotten some attention this week!

Meredith Yayanos has written a beautiful article covering the projects and our kickstarter drive for her rad on-line magazine Coilhouse:

http://coilhouse.net/2011/04/fundraising-push-for-the-sea-of-trees-by-joshua-zucker-pluda/

…and Indiewire has us pegged as one of five films they're rooting for!

http://www.indiewire.com/article/five_projects_iw_is_rooting_for_buddy_holly_dry-frozen_pets_and_more/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed#

We've met our Kickstarter goal - but you can still donate/blog/tweet/talk about The Sea of Trees. Every bit of support helps!

Nice! Btw Josh, it looks like the Indiewire article has the wrong link for The Sea of Trees.

An unreleased episode of Roadside Picnic. In 2006 a friend was working on a feature film and needed some inspirational music - something he could watch with raw footage and production stills. His film is about a satellite mapper - so I decided to focus on movement, both on earth, and in space. If your familiar with the podcast, you'll hear a bunch of things you've heard before, but in a new way - but also a lot of stuff I never had the chance to use before. Four years later and the film, "Here" by Braden King, made its debut in the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Maybe the mix will inspire *your* project as well...
