About this project
I want to bring the most amazing art into your lives. My work in the streets is temporary and so capturing the finest details is important to bringing you closer to the experience you may have if you were there. We all know its not like being there, but there are many ways I am working to transform my work to shed new light on my process and create beautiful works that will inspire in ways not possible in the streets, require studio time and equipment that currently I do not own.

If pledges exceed my goal I hope to buy a larger printer and/or additional supplies. Kickstarter does charge fees so I have taken this into account for the amount I'm raising.
The purpose of this fundraising effort is to take my work up a notch and buy the equipment I need to diversify my work and let my imagination run wild with the same stream of consciousness used to create my one of a kind sand works in the street. It will bring a whole new dimension to my work and give me tools I need to explore new mediums and create work like you have never seen before.
Over the past year I have produced over 160 sand paintings and posted them out through social networks for all to enjoy free streaming art. As a result my network has grown rapidly and enjoy posts of my paintings which are shared freely on these networks. This is where the math comes in... If all those in my network just contribute 2 cents per painting $3.20 each my goal is reached. I would hope you find in your hearts to contribute more, but your small contribution toward this goal will help propel my work to new heights and dimensions never before seen.
I want to produce the highest quality images using wide angle and HD technology to capture my sand paintings in time lapse and still photography. These high quality images can then be made into large scale limited editions, panoramas and transformed into a number of mediums. By printing these images from my desktop it gives me freedom to create after hours, at lower cost and increased productivity. The combination of these tools will allow experimentation at low cost for me to make paintings using stencil, collage and create one of a kind artworks that you can take home.
Many of you know my past installations and use of found objects to create massive installations. http://www.joemangrum.com/installationsjoemangrum.html and many of you know my sand paintings http://www.joemangrum.com/paintings_joemangrum.html
But before all of that I made oil paintings for nearly 15 years.
Its time to mash up all my mediums and make paintings, stencils, collage, sculpture and see what else is possible. My timeline for this project will allow me to purchase this equipment in time for my trip to Michigan where I will be making a giant sand painting filling a 30 x 50 foot room with my work. I hope to have these tools in time to create a time lapse video of this exhibit..
