"Go Car-Free" presents 7 reasons to start biking and 5 solutions to common biking problems.
We have 4 simple goals here at Une Friandise Press:
1. Print and distribute zines.
2. Get paid (so we can keep making zines!).
3. Change the world.
4. Have lots of fun.
Your support will help us achieve all 4. We aim to print 500 copies of "Go Car-Free" on 100% recycled paper with soy based ink. With the printing and shipping costs covered by you wonderful people, we will be able to distribute our zine to independent bookstores across America for free and let the bookstores sell our zine at the reduced cost of $1.
Your money will be muti-tasking; a donation of $5 will not only get you a copy of "Go Car-Free" but it will also ensure about five other people will have easy access to the zine. In addition to this, your money will be supporting independent bookstores! How cool is that?
We will also leave copies of the zine (as copies of zines should be left) in bus shelters, coffee shops and other nooks and crannies in our respective towns - The Twin Cities and Portland, Oregon.
The funds left over after making and mailing gifts and printing the zine will go towards compensating the four of us so that we can do essential things like buy bubble tea and pad thai every now and then and keep making zines!
If we double our goal of $1,500, not only will we print an additional 500 zines but we will send a copy of the zine and a letter to the Bureau/Department of Transportation in 20 cities that could use our help in joining the biking revolution.
