TNA/KICKSTARTER NANO BREW FUNDING PROJECT:

Who am i?
My Name Is Ty Armstrong Sr, I have been creating delicious craftbeers for 10 years now. I am the inventor/creator of " Specialty CandyBeers", what are Candybeer you ask? We'll, these are "new and unique" types of specialty beers infused with our homemade "in-house" hard candies, exotic fruits, & teas. Brewed from the 4 basic foundations of water, yeast, malts, and hops.

We take brewing beer to an "Extreme" level of what we call "Craftbeertivity"..! I am proud to be the "one & only" person in the U.S today as we know it to produce these delicious & unique craftbeer beverages 4 years running.

The Buzz..!
With flavors like Rootbeer Stout, Pom/Blubury, Dark Jamaican, I have developed these specialty beers using non-traditional brewing methods infusing exotic fruits, teas and of course our in-house candies.

Over the course of 2 years, we have been invited to various beer tasting events, featured on The Beer Channel, Beer Blogs, Live Radio Shows, and even had two TV News stories filmed simultaneously . TNA CandyBeers have been tasted by thousands, and 98.9% of the people ask the same question: "Where Can We Buy It"? You can't yet.That's where you come in....

Our Dream:
We need about $45,000 seed start-up capital to make this dream of opening a small 20 gal. to 3.5 Barrel Nano Brewery Set-Up in our area of San Luis Obispo, Ca. This will enable us to produce an in demand "unique & delicious" beverage that will have the masses of local craft beer lover's craving for our mouth watering brews on our taps. This project will be called the "The TNA CandyBeer Community Donation Project".

As you have probably read the Brewer’s Association growth of the craft brewing industry in the first half of 2010 was 9% by volume and 12% by retail dollars, when overall, U.S. beer sales were down by an estimated 2.7% by volume. This increase in craft beer popularity was due in part to the community of dedicated craft beer lovers.

There is a craft beer revolution here on the Central Coast of CA and the timing has never been better to open a Nano Brewery specializing in a new "unique & delicious" beverage such as this one. The people have spoken for 2 years now, lets give the masses of craft beer lover's what they want. Assorted TNA CandyBeers on tap...!

This will be a year round production facility, producing as many barrels as we can per year, with a new specialty beer style every month with your personalized name on the bottle using various publicized beer contest announcements, and company surveys.

Why Do U Need Kickstarter??
We need the Kickstarter Start-up program to help solicit potential funding sources to purchase appropriate licensing, building, & brewing equipment. We have put together a "Unique Pledge Compilation Video" of TNA CandyBeer interviews, shows, & newscast, we need YOU (the people) to help make this U.S & Community collaboration funding project a SUCCESS.

Remember: When the funding goal is completed we will purchase our equipment, find a home, and get started brewing small batches of great tasting beer built from the collaboration of people who actually purchase and consume my unique & delicious specialty craft beers. In other words "We Brew 4 U"..!

Craftbeer Gallop Poll - Sixty-seven percent of U.S. adults drink alcohol, a slight increase over last year and the highest reading recorded since 1985 by one percentage point. Beer remains the favorite beverage among drinkers, followed by wine and then liquor.

Despite some yearly fluctuations, the percentage of Americans who say they drink alcohol has been remarkably stable over Gallup's 71 years of tracking it. The high point for drinking came in 1976-1978, when 71% said they drank alcohol.

The low of 55% was recorded in 1958. When Gallup first asked Americans about drinking, in the waning days of the Great Depression in 1939, 58% of adults said they were drinkers.

A majority of Americans in most demographic subgroups of the population drink, though in some groups drinking is more prevalent than in others. One of the most significant predictors of alcohol consumption is church attendance. Those who seldom or never attend church are substantially more likely than more frequent church attenders to say they drink; and those who have no religious identity, Catholics, and non-Christians are more likely to drink than Protestants.

Medical research shows that moderate drinking is associated with a lower probability of heart trouble, and Gallup has recently confirmed that the incidence of heart attacks increases substantially with age. Still, the data indicate that many older Americans are not taking advantage of the prophylactic benefit of drinking; 59% of older Americans drink alcohol, substantially lower than the percentages among those who are younger. Additionally, those with the lowest education levels and lowest incomes are less likely to drink than others.

Beer Remains Dominant as Preferred Beverage
Beer remains the preferred beverage of choice among Americans who drink alcohol, as it has every year since 1992 -- with the exception of 2005, when wine edged into the top spot.

Men under 50 are among those who most strongly prefer beer, which does not come as a surprise to those who observe the preponderance of beer ads embedded in sports and other programming aimed at young men. Older women are the biggest fans of wine, while roughly equal numbers of women under 50 choose wine and beer.

The older skew in preference for wine is starkly apparent when one looks at drinkers aged 18 to 34, who are highly likely to choose beer as their preferred beverage, and among whom wine is slightly behind even liquor. By contrast, drinkers 55 and older clearly choose wine as their preferred beverage.

Although beer is the top choice in all four major regions of the country, residents on the two coasts are somewhat more likely to prefer wine than are those living elsewhere. Beer remains most popular in the Midwest.

How does giving to Kickstarter work?
You may pledge any dollar amount (a minimum of $1) to our campaign, although we have specified rewards for different levels of giving, which may be found on the right-hand side of the page. If we receive at least $45,000 in pledges by Dec 1, 2011, we will receive the amount of donations ($45,000 or above) at that time, and we can start purchasing equipment and laying the groundwork for opening our brewery.

In order to pledge, all you need is an Amazon account (it's free!). You will not be charged for your donation until Dec 1, 2011, if we meet our goal; otherwise, you will not be charged anything.

What will KickStarter funds be used for?
KickStarter funds will be used only for the brewery space, mainly for equipment, ingredients/supplies, and legalities. TNA CandyBeers (Ty Armstrong Sr) will not be using a dime for personal salary (both will initially continue to support their families via outside employment), as the brewery is starting as a project at the "nano" level.

Are gifts to your campaign considered non-profit contributions or profit-sharing/angel-investment opportunities?
The concept of Kickstarter relies upon the generous philanthropy of people. This means that contributions are not considered non-profit gifts or profit-
sharing/angel investments. We realize that it is a bold move to ask people, including complete strangers, to give to our project for basically no direct
benefit to themselves (sure, we offer rewards for different levels of giving, but we know that these are really ways for us to say "thank you" and not a
return on someone's investment).

However, we are willing to make such a bold appeal because we truly believe in Kickstarter's concept of people helping
people to make a dream come alive. And we really believe in TNA CandyBeer--the commitment to crafting a "unique & delicious" product, to the possibility of sharing beer as a common interest that builds community and care for one another, and to the importance of small businesses in our local communities.

What types of beer will be brewed?
Our "Unique & Delicious" CandyBeers Of Course! Starting with our #1 - Most requested TNA "Dark Jamaican CandyBeer", with our #2 being our popular TNA "RootBeer Stout", followed by TNA "5 Layer Mystery Brew." for starters, we will also have questioneer contest where "you" the people will decide what CandyBeer flavors & ingredients you want us to brew next...Now doesn't that sound "exciting" folks...!

Closing: Reaching our goal gives us the kick-start we need to build our business and allow us to get these great tasting CandyBeers into the hands of beer drinkers everywhere! We know this beer will be the “Next Big Thing”. We are confident with your help, and the help of all of your friends, we’ll get there! If we do not reach our goal of 45K, you are refunded your money from the program.
