Award-winning educator, Earthman Lanny Smith, will create, and video for the web, an Eco musical with Summer Camp kids in Berea, Ky.
Music and the arts are powerful tools to educate, activate, and inspire people to act. Kentucky, and America, has tons of litter on the ground, damaging eco systems, polluting fresh water, and harming wildlife. This "Please Don't Litter" musical and performances will be videotaped and put on the web to help educate children in Kentucky and elsewhere.
This project has already gotten committed $1,000 from the Madison County Office of Solid Waste. Funding will help cover our project budget covering costs. Our goal is 40 students involved in the play. They will sing, dance, and be educated to be leaders in their family and community. Berea Parks and Recreation is a non funding partner along with the Berea Family Resource Council. The project will begin July 23.
