Kickstarter

Here's my story:
I am an experienced amateur photographer that loves to take photos of the beauty found in common or unexpected places and objects.  My dream is to take the next step into my photography journey and actually commit to and accomplish a specific photography project.  My latest fascination has been the world of closeup and macro ("larger than life"), out of which this project is born.

If this dream of stepping out into a defined project can be achieved, I would love to actually publish a coffee table photography book from the results.  That is the step after achieving this one, but is in the back of my mind.

Achieving this dream is where I am asking for support.  I love to share my work with those who share my taste in beauty and can offer prints from my project in return for your gracious investment in my dream.

Here's the facts:
The goal of the project is to create a collection of 100 creative closeup photos from Western Colorado ready for publication.  I expect this project to take approximately ten weeks to complete from the time I become funded.  The culminating collection of photos will be available for public viewing on the web at a dedicated website for this project.  If response to the Creative Closeups website is positive, I will initiate a phase two, which will lead to publishing a coffee table type photo book, which may in turn initiate a second Kickstarter.com project.

All Backers will receive a special honorable mention on the website.  Backers of $5 or more will receive signed prints from the project, with the print size depending on the level of contribution to the project.  Larger contributions will be rewarded with limited edition prints.  The largest two contributor levels will be rewarded with framed and matted prints.

The funding for the project will be used to upgrade to a more flexible camera for this work, a specialty lens package, for the resulting website development and to cover the cost of the rewards for contributors.  Without your support, this project will remain in the realm of dreams.  Thank you for your support and your investment!
