Hi everyone,

First off, thank you so very much for your support! As of this point, we've more than doubled the minimum dollar amount we set out to raise. Of course, we'd sure like to keep on going! We're hoping to raise $3000, and at this point we're only $400 away from that goal. There's 36 hours to go. At 11:59 pm October 31, we're all done! Now, you've all done your part financially, but I hope you will consider letting a friend or two know about these last hours of the campaign, so we can meet this goal. Weathervane Music was founded in 2009 by Philadlephia musician and record producer Brian McTear to fill a widening gap in music left by disappearing revenue streams in a failing music industry. The goal of all Weathervane projects is to provide professional level experience and career opportunity for deserving artists, while promoting a clear understanding of the necessary role that audiences must play in the creation of music. A quality foundation for tomorrow’s music economy can only come from a healthy music ecosystem today.

Weathervane produces its flagship project, Shaking Through, with WXPN radio in Philadelphia and is a project of PositiveSpace, a Fishtown-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to create a network of local artists to exchange creative ideas and to promote new opportunities for emerging and established artists in the community. All donations made to Weathervane Music are through PositiveSpace, and as such are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
