We can't believe how successful this turned out! 220 donors from at least 10 countries (that we know of)... and the goal we set? Remember we were biting our nails about whether we'd make it or not? Welp, you all kicked in and we clobbered it by almost $3000! Stunning! More opportunity for great artists, and more new, exciting ways for you to be involved are comin' up!

With 5 days to go in our Year End Kickstarter Campaign, WE JUST MADE OUR GOAL! As far as Kickstarter's rules go, that means the campaign will be funded! This is incredible!

Even the professionals among us wouldn't have access to most of the amazing high-end gear that is lent to us by our sponsors for Shaking Through. Weathervane Music was founded in 2009 by Philadlephia musician and record producer Brian McTear to fill a widening gap in music left by disappearing revenue streams in a failing music industry. The goal of all Weathervane projects is to provide professional level experience and career opportunity for deserving artists, while promoting a clear understanding of the necessary role that audiences must play in the creation of music. A quality foundation for tomorrow’s music economy can only come from a healthy music ecosystem today.
Weathervane produces its flagship project, Shaking Through, with WXPN radio in Philadelphia and is a project of PositiveSpace, a Fishtown-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to create a network of local artists to exchange creative ideas and to promote new opportunities for emerging and established artists in the community. All donations made to Weathervane Music are through PositiveSpace, and as such are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
