About this project
Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my project. What I am trying to do is record, mix, press and release my fourth record entitled "Brave Soul" this October. It will be my most ambitious recording project yet and I am certain it will prove to be the best I have released into the world. I have enlisted my friend Brett Bullion to help me make the record happen. He will be drumming, engineering, mixing and co-producing it along with me. You may know Brett's work with groups such as Halloween, Alaska, Haley Bonar, Dark Dark Dark, Hildur Victoria and Tarlton. Alongside the actual recording of the album, the packaging will all be handmade, one of a kind screen printed piece of art. I am an independent artist and releasing a record all on your own is a very difficult thing to do! So that is where all you tender-hearted, generous folks come in...If we reach our goal of $3000 all the funds will be going into the recording, mixing and pressing of "Brave Soul". I want to thank all of you for taking the time to check out the project and I cherish and appreciate every cent of funds that are raised. So thank you again from the bottom of my heart! Now let's get this project going!!!

Andy Elwell is a singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, MN. Born in Hibbing, MN and raised in Duluth, MN, Elwell began his musical career as the singer/guitarist in the post-punk trio Islero. After Islero disbanded, drawing on his songwriter roots and influences, in 2006 Elwell struck out on his own with Different Places. He has followed with 2008's New Ground and 2010's No One You Will Ever Know. Elwell has toured extensively in the U.S., been a two-time semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and a two-time finalist in Eddie's Attic Songwriter Shootout in Atlanta, GA. Elwel has also had records licensed for use by MTV, VH1, Lifetime and Oxygen.
